Happy Easter!

"The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, he has risen, just as he said." Matthew 28:5-6

Praise the Lord because Sunday is here! Jesus won the battle over sin and death on our behalf. How unworthy we are of this...but praise be to Him for His wonderous love that he poured out on all of His children.

Here's some highlights from our Easter Sunday...

The easter bunny came to our house and brought Clayton a book, some cool sunglasses, and of course some easter eggs. Clayton immediately picked up his easter basket and dumped everything out of it. He loved playing with the plastic easter eggs.

All dressed and ready for church....

Our church has a neat tradition of covering a cross with flowers and a white banner on Easter Sunday signifying the life and resurrection...which makes for a really pretty photo-op with our children and families dressed in their Sunday best.

After church, we headed up to Etta to eat lunch at my grandmother's house with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Here's a picture of my grandmother (Clayton's great-grandmother) and all of her great- grandchildren...it was kinda hard to get everybody looking at the camera at the same time :)
